Meeting Information
Currently the crew meets on the second Wednesday of each month, during June, July and August meetings are held on an as needed basis. The train station, located on Jefferson St. in Greencastle, is our home base. We share the facility with three other youth organizations. All groups work together to provide sweat equity, helping to keep the facility in working order.
In addition, to the monthly meetings the crew attempts to hold some type of monthly activity as well. Occasionally the council will plan activities for all the crews, and once a month they hold a roundtable meeting for all crew officers.
Crew Structure
The crew is led by elected youth officers. We have a President, a Vice President that handles programs and activities and another VP responsible for administrative responsibilities. A Secretary/Treasurer keeps our books and meeting minutes in order.
Adult Advisors
Advisors serve in a "shadow" leader capacity. All adult leaders are over the age of 21 and have a strong desire to help train and assist our youth. In addition, to the crew advisors we have a strong crew committee that meet monthly to help support the crews programs.
